Significance
The Uitenhage War Memorial was unveiled on 10 November 1923 by General JC Smuts.
It has a Roll of Honour for the Great War

The Great War Roll of Honour includes Major PNG Fitzpatrick, South African Heavy Artillery, the eldest son of Sir Percy Fitzpatrick.
It has plaques inscribed in English and Dutch
