The N 12 Battlefield Route, running through the diamond fields of the vast and unspoilt Northern Cape, was opened at the end of 1998. Stretching from Hopetown to Kimberley, the N12 Route offers major tourist attractions at the various historical sites with theme exhibitions, walking trails, historical re-enactments and exciting new displays - all adding up to a dynamic tourist destination.
Commemorations, walks and talks, tours and more. The Centenary of the Anglo-Boer war began officially in October 1999. Experience the history of a nation under the sun of the wide open plains of Africa.
